Search our international list of professional Blender developers, artists and trainers.
When joining the Blender Network you are asked to choose among three types of subscription (academic, freelance, corporate) that are described below. Should you be unable to find the answer to what you were seeking, please send us an email at support@blendernetwork.org.
The academic subscription is thought for those people and institutions that teach, promote, and work with Blender for non-commercial educational purposes. This includes for example public universities, research institutes that use Blender to complement their researches through animations, non-for-profit schools that teach how to use Blender, professors and academic staff of public educational institutions and the like that teach about or with Blender. If you believe you should be granted a free academic account, but your case is not included in the aforementioned examples, please let us know. This is an open list of possible cases that will grow with your contribution.
Please, consider that the academic account is not thought for students. The Blender Network is a community exclusively for professionals using Blender. Therefore, students who have a strong skillset related to Blender but have no officially recognized position within a public institution as Blender teachers, may apply for a Freelance subscription.
The academic subscription is free of charge. To activate an academic account, please refer to our support team (support@blendernetwork.org) mentioning the e-mail address you have used in your member creation process and providing sufficient evidence of your academic activity as described in the terms above. Random periodical controls may be performed to ensure that the academic status is valid throughout the entire subscription period.
The freelance account is thought for all self-employed artists, animators, developers, consultants, trainers, and the like. The Blender Network is proud of the high-profile of its members. Therefore, along the subscription process for a freelance subscription you will be prompted to provide links to online portfolios, videos, and other media that refers to past and current projects.
Please make sure we can verify your contact information by providing your phone number. If you don't provide public information to contact you other than via email - we still require you to provide that information for the Blender Network itself. This information will be only used in case we need to verify your membership, and doesn't get published or made available to other network partners.
If you have a VAT-number or any corresponding code from your country, you can specify it in the subscription form for tax deduction purposes. The annual subscription fee to the freelance account is of 50€.
The corporate account is thought for companies such as studios, private schools and institutions that employ Blender in their creative processes. A detailed list of the advantages that come along with a corporate subscription will be published within a few weeks and will be updated along with the service improvements and additions that are about to come.
