My name is Phil Gosch, I'm an independent 3D-Artist from Graz, Austria.
I have experience in nearly all areas of CG, including hard-surface or organic modeling/sculpting, shading/texturing/UV-mapping, lighting/compositing, physics/simulations, and Blender's game engine. Lately I've been doing more and more software development related tasks ranging from writing my own python tools to full applications in C++ to writing AI systems in Unity/C#.

Originally coming from game development, I started using Blender in 2006, after searching for a cheap but powerful software to create some assets for the games I developed. After some time using Blender I realized I was totally into it und that I liked creating 3D art far more than programming games. I then started learning art fundamentals as well as other 3D software, like Mudbox, Softimage/Maya or Cinema4D and of course Photoshop etc.
Currently I’m studying “Information Technology” at the Technical University of Graz, where I specialize in computergraphics (more from a programmers point of view), my main areas as a 3D-graphics freelancer are in game assets ,illustration and product visualization.
I'm one of the moderators of the biggest german-speaking Blender-forum blend.polis, you can find me there under the name of "Saphires". That's the nickname I'm using on most of the boards I'm registered at.
