I'm a freelance illustrator and a 3d artist; on the web I'm known as EnV and my specialization is about character design, sci-fi and dinosaurs!

I currently work for main Italian book publishers as cover artist (Arnoldo Mondadori Editore, Giunti), using both traditional and digital media and 3d software (Blender) as well. In 2005 I won the "Blender Suzanne Awards" for Best animation, original idea and story with the animation "New Penguoen 2.38". I've been Lead Artist for the Open Peach Project for the production of the short movie "Big Buck Bunny". I did a series of courses at the Blender Institute and several presentations and workshops around, both in Italian as in English language; currently I'm a Blender trainer.

I've also been Art Director and Blender Trainer at CINECA (Bologna) for the production of the stereoscopic short movie "Apa alla scoperta di Bologna" for the "Museo della Città di Bologna" project.

In 2012 I've been asked to write a "Blender 2.6 Cycles: Materials and Textures Cookbook" for "PACKT Publishing" and in 2014 I wrote the "Blender 3D Cookbook" again for Packt.

Blender topics I can teach, both for the 2.79 and 2.80 series:

- Interface and basics
- Modeling
- Shading and texturing
- Rigging
- Beginners animation
- Lighting
- Rendering
- Compositing
- Blender production pipeline.
