In 2016 I obtained my PhD in computer science at Universiteit Utrecht. My research revolved around the animation of virtual humans in dense crowds. For my MSc I created a system for the generation of walking animations based on footstep positions.
In my research I use Blender for the analysis of both captured and generated motions, rendering our final results, and to create illustrations for our publications. Whenever I can I try to make students aware of, and interested in, Blender and the community.
Besides Blender and other computer sciency stuff I'm also a photographer. My photos have been featured in various magazines, bands' promotional material and are hanging on several walls. My passion is medium format black & white photography.
